3  week Board & Train Puppy School

(Ages 4 to 8 months)

Puppy School is held in our lead trainer's home.  This provides a safe and controlled environment for your puppy. We teach the foundational skills necessary for your puppy to develop into a great family pet.

Your puppy will learn:

•       Basic Obedience - Come, Sit, Down, Place, Here, Let’s Go, and Crate
•       Dog commands in 3 languages – Food lure/hand gestures, verbal and leach pressure
•       Marker words to better communicate with the puppy
•       Leash manners and leash walking exercises
•       Nose loops, slip leads and long lines

We socialize your puppy with other dogs, animals and humans. We will expose your puppy to a variety of scenarios, sounds, surfaces and situations to create positive associations. Our goal is to create a calm and confident puppy that will know how to live in this busy, hectic human world and become a wonderful companion.

• After we have completed your puppy’s training we start the most important part of the program. We train the owner.  Our program includes a 1-2-hour human training session at pick-up for the parent to learn how to establish a healthy relationship, set clear and fair boundaries, create good habits and deepen the feeling of connection that you ultimately want to share with your dog in order to maintain the desired behaviors.

• A second 2-3 hour IN – HOME follow-up session within the first 2 weeks after completion of the training for the family to learn techniques and to trouble shoot any issues that have developed.   You will have access to a chat group that includes Elisa, to answer any questions about your pup’s progress at home.

After completion of Puppy School,  there are more advanced training programs available to continue mastering their skills.  Your puppy is always welcome at our daycare program and overnight boarding services.

• Please note that for best results we encourage the owners to continue the puppy’s journey with training and consistent routines. In case it is necessary, extra individual sessions are available upon request at additional cost.
